Mayor’s Holiday Tree Lighting  

Light up the holiday season downtown with the Mayor’s Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting, Friday, 6-8 p.m. Celebrate with Santa, music, fireworks and family fun. See more details.

Experience the holiday classic Home Alone with the Houston Symphony, Friday, 7:30 p.m.  See more details.

Dickens on the Strand

Head to Galveston and time travel back to 19th-century Victorian London to enjoy this annual holiday street festival. Dickens on the Strand takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and includes parades, entertainment, carolers, musicians, vendors, crafts and much more. See more details. 

Rudolph Fun Run

Join CityCentre for the 5th Annual Rudolph Fun Run benefiting Firefighters Helping Firefighters, which includes a Dasher 1K, Rudolph 5K and Cupid 1K. Christmas-themed costumes and Santa will be on hand for photos. See more details.

Southside Place Winter Wonderland

Enjoy a winter wonderland at Southside Place on Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., for their annual winter carnival, including photos with Santa, carnival games, inflatables, a mechanical bull, a rock-climbing wall, face painting and balloon artists. Plus, snow! See more details.

Chanukah Fest

Celebrate the first night of Chanukah with Chabad Outreach and the City of Houston for Chanukah Fest on Sunday, 2-6 p.m. The event includes a rock concert, booths, demonstrations, fire jugglers, family-friendly activities, food and more. The menorah lighting ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. and will conclude with a fireworks display. See more details.
