About 50 guests mingled at a fundraiser for The University of Texas at Austin Department of Theatre and Dance at the home of Kathryn and Jeff Smith. The event raised funds for undergraduate scholarships. With private support, the department is able to recruit 25 dancers and actors each year. Guests were treated to fare by Jackson & Co. In the crowd were chair Dee Dawson, director of theatre and dance Brant Pope, Jack and Leslie Blanton, Scott and Melissa Ison, Kari Gonzalez and John Dagley.
