More than 1,600 guests joined the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation for its 22nd annual fundraising event in Houston – A Celebration of Reading. The lineup of authors included Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jon Meacham and New York Times bestselling authors Brad Meltzer, Kelly Corrigan and Dr. David Eagleman. The event earned more than $2.1 million for the foundation, which works to increase literacy rates.
