Spring Branch Middle School girls 8B basketball team

The Spring Branch Middle School girls 8B basketball team (pictured) won a tournament championship and finished with a winning season. Led by coach Chenique Whitney, the girls showed tremendous improvement over the season. At the Alief Tournament, the Lady Bears played against Alief Middle School, Spring Forest Middle School and O’Donnell Middle School, and were victorious in each of the games. The championship game was especially tough, and the girls rallied at half time to increase a small first-half lead and eventually beat O’Donnell.
