What a ball

It was a record-breaking year for the annual Cattle Baron’s Ball, which raised over $2.25 million for the American Cancer Society. Around $900,000 was raised on the auction alone. Some of the key auction items were children's quilts that raised $100,000, an in-home dinner with Johnny Carrabba and one with Bryan Caswell, a steer, a J.J. Watt jersey and some donated trips. Over 1,000 guests enjoyed Southern food from Caswell and Co. Catering while listening to the Eli Young Band and enjoying pig races, midway games, a wine pull and casino. Ball co-chairs were Lauren Maloy and Allison Flikeski.
