‘Camp Buby’ in Bellaire
Two-year-old Charlie Krost has had an exciting week at “Camp Buby” (as his grandmother, Sharon Krost, called it) in Bellaire. He’s been visiting his grandparents, Sharon and Michael Krost, from Austin and has had all sorts of adventures here.
Sharon and Charlie have visited the Bellaire Fire Station, spotted Bellaire police cars, played at Bellaire Town Center park, enjoyed playing “baseball” with his Poppy in their front yard, eaten out at neighborhood restaurants – Charlie loved Jax Grill, Los Tios and Skeeters and his favorite was the turkey at Brisket BBQ - and Charlie has even taken swimming lessons with Janis Zinn on Jessamine.
“After teaching toddlers at Beth Yeshurun School for 29 years and retiring just two years ago, I am living my dream through the eyes of my grandchildren!” said Sharon.
Although Charlie will be excited to return to Austin and see his parents, Melissa Joachim Krost and Justin Krost, along with two-month-old baby brother Henry Krost, he’s already put in his request to return to Bellaire and enroll in Camp Buby again soon.
