Literacy awareness

Over 320 of Houston society and business leaders and city officials came to the Houston Center for Literacy's annual Mayor's Literacy Leadership Award breakfast. The event, held at River Oaks Country Club, featured KPRC’s Khambrel Marshall as emcee. Marshall stressed the importance of improving the city's adult literacy. Turner acknowledged HCL’s Mayor’s Circle and Ally for Literacy award winners, donors who made significant gifts to the organization this year.
