Natalie Fox Maisel and Julianna Alexander spent two weeks that started with an Amsterdam canal cruise and a visit to an Amsterdam ice bar. On to sacred temples in Malta and a side trip to Popeye Village, where Popeye was filmed with Robin Williams in 1979. It is a group of rustic and ramshackle wooden buildings near the village of Mellieha. From other ruins (the Acropolis in Athens) to luxury at the Kouros Boutique Hotel in Mykonos, they sampled a variety of blueberry vodka.
