Keeping up the Jones
Alexandra (Alie) and David Pruner, along with James Postl, are co-chairing the Jones Hall 50th Ball – A Mad Mid-Century Celebration and Concert on Oct. 22 at Jones Hall Plaza. Being recognized are the Jesse H. Jones family and the Houston Endowment. The night will include a concert featuring violinist Itzhak Perlman, who will perform with the Houston Symphony under the direction of Andrés Orozco-Estrada. The concert will be followed by a gala dinner and dancing to the music of the Lester Lanin Orchestra from New York City. Guests are encouraged to dress mid-century, in full Mad Men attire, including white dinner jackets, white gloves and glamorous gowns. Funds raised will support master planning for a renovation of Jones Hall.
