A fair to remember

Eve Lapin and Lisa Sheinbaum (pictured, from left) are co-chairing the Evelyn Rubenstein JCC of Houston Ann and Stephen Kaufman Jewish Book and Arts Fair, running until Nov. 13. The fair will celebrate 44 years of authors, music, theater and films. It is free and open to the public. The opening event will be a literary and culinary feast with Michael Wex (Rhapsody in Schmaltz: Yiddish Food and Why We Can’t Stop Eating It) and Liz Alpern and Jeffrey Yoskowitz (The Gefilte Manifesto). It will be moderated by Ziggy Gruber, owner of Kenny and Ziggy’s.
