National Night Out Celebrations
Neighbors across town spent yesterday evening mixing and mingling with each other and with community police and firefighters in celebration of National Night Out. Events such as block parties and cookouts took place throughout Houston.
The Villages' National Night Out was held in the Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church parking lot and included food, games, a moonwalk and, of course, the Chiefs’ dunking booth. There was a nice turnout of neighbors enjoying the festivities.
In Bellaire, the block of Valerie celebrated at Nancy Stow’s home. Bellaire police officer Monica Andrade and Bellaire council member David Montague brought safety-related materials, Halloween bags, Bellaire Frisbees and more goodies to distribute to the neighbors. Everyone enjoyed pizza, plus homemade desserts.
