A front-yard concert

Over 100 Bellaire neighbors gathered in the yard of Daniel, Melissa, Mickie May and Solomon Levin’s Oleander home to celebrate the Jewish ceremony Havdalah with a front-yard concert by Joe Buchanan. Buchanan’s music has been called Americana with a Jewish soul. The end-of-Sabbath ritual celebration was led by a fellow neighbor, Rabbi Brian Strauss, along with performer Joe Buchanan and the Levins. Neighbors Mitchell Robbins and Orly Golub acted as grill-masters, serving everyone Holmes Smokehouse beef-brisket hot dogs (provided by neighbor Rodney Roth) with cocktails and juice. Guests followed instructions to “walk, not drive,” and many of the younger guests could be found in backyard playing football.
