Dressed to wed
Evelyn Leightman changed from luncheon couture to her original wedding gown from 1966 during the luncheon that celebrated her and Dan Leightman’s 50th anniversary at Tony’s. Rabbi David Lyon of Congregation Beth Israel performed a meaningful ceremony witnessed by friends and family before Evelyn surprised Dan with a proclamation from Mayor Sylvester Turner recognizing this milestone. Donna and Tony Vallone created a salad named Insalata Evelyn for the event. Guests enjoyed a guitar concert presented by twin grandsons Seth and Zach Dykstra. Dan planted a kiss on Evelyn just before the magnificent ice cream bombe cake was lit up with 50 sparkling candles.
