Houstonians met in New York

Three years ago Nicole Sofer, who went to Memorial High, and Craig Loewenstern, who went to Bellaire, met online as they sat in their New York condos. On their first date, they figured out all their many mutual friends. They married Oct. 29 on the lawn back home at the Omni Hotel. Instead of bridesmaids, Nicole had eight flower girls adorned in pink, her girlfriends’ daughters and a cousin. The reception moved to the stunning pool area where the band, a photo booth and a champagne tower captured the delight of all. They honeymooned for two weeks on Oahu and Kauai, snorkeled at night with manta rays in the ocean, and soared up in the sky on a magical helicopter ride. Parents Roger and Linden Sofer, Robin Sofer and Richard and Cynthia Loewenstern expected the unexpected.
