Bellaire High School orchestra students (pictured, from left) Jiakai Pan (violin), Rituparna Mukherjee (viola), Martin Sirakov (bass) and Jesse Ji (violin – not pictured) were named to TMEA All-State Orchestra. High school students selected to perform in the All-State concerts competed through several levels of auditions beginning in the fall of 2016 to qualify at the state level. It is the highest honor a Texas music student can receive, with only the top 3 percent of musicians who initially audition making it through.
