Sweet Dessert Spots in Houston
Whether you’re looking to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your significant other or if you just like dessert, I’ve compiled a list of fun places to get dessert in Houston.
Provisions (807 Taft St.)
Known for its creative, seasonal menus and focus on ingredients, Provisions doesn’t disappoint for dessert. Soft serve and panna cotta are the fan favorites.
Red Dessert Dive (1045 Studewood)
Their website defines the menu as: “Desserts. Coffee. Beer. Wine.” Surely you’ll find something you like.
Dessert Gallery (3600 Kirby)
Located close to Rice University, Dessert Gallery has the cutest decorated cookies. My favorite dessert of theirs is the petit four.
Tout Suite (2001 Commerce St.)
A cute coffee shop and dessert bar nestled in downtown, Tout Suite has coffee, tea and cute desserts that are perfect for sharing, including macaroons, cake and tarts.
Juice Box (9889 Bellaire Blvd., Ste 109)
Located on Bellaire, Juice Box is a Taiwanese dessert place that sells smoothies, shaved ice and ice cream.
Creamistry (5000 Westheimer Rd.)
The new fad in ice cream is ice cream cooled by liquid nitrogen! Creamistry ice cream not only tastes good, but is fun to see being made.
Fat Cat Creamery (1901 N. Shepherd Dr.)
Fat Cat is a tried and true spot for Houstonians, offering different flavors depending on the season. Anything with strawberry is divine.
Sweet Paris (2420 Rice Blvd. and 797 Sorella Ct.)
Sweet Paris is a creperie, with locations in Rice Village and City Centre. Try their savory or dessert crepes . . . or both.
Americas (2040 West Gray)
Americas is an Argentinian restaurant known for its steaks and seafood, but their best menu item is on the dessert list . . . tres leches! Arguably one of the best desserts in Houston.
Steel City Popsicles (420 East 20th St.)
You’ve likely seen a Steel City popsicle on your Instagram feed, as it is the new trend in dessert. Stay in the loop and eat a fruit popsicle!
Fluff Bake Bar (314 Gray St.)
Open late, Fluff Bake Bar carries cookies, cupcakes, cakes, pies, tarts and virtually anything else your heart desires.
You don’t need to be celebrating Valentine’s Day to pick up a good dessert. Be adventurous and explore Houston through dessert!
