Young Picassos

Pre-K students at Beth Yeshurun Day School spent a month learning about art styles and famous artists such as Mondrian, Jackson Pollock, Monet, Kandinsky, Georgia O'Keeffe, Van Gogh, Matisse and Andy Warhol. Students painted canvases, drew pictures, made paper mache and other colorful projects. Parents, siblings, grandparents and friends were invited to a special Pre-K Art Gallery at the school in which each child showed their artwork and went home with a portfolio filled with their art creations. Many students set up their own art gallery at home.
