Dusty, age 10

I’m Dusty the beagle. I love living at home with my mom. I have my own special recliner chair, which makes the long naps I take all the more comfortable. Ten years ago my sister went away to college. Before she left she brought me home as a present to my mom. At first I was a little wild and hard to tame; that’s the nature of my breed, I suppose. But I’ve mellowed out over the years. I still enjoy sneaking off with a pair of flip-flops every now and then. My mom has taught me a few tricks. I even don’t mind when she makes me wear sweaters or costumes. I especially like it when I get to wear my Texas Longhorns shirt on Game Day. I watch the game from my chair – or my mom’s lap.
