Evelyn's Park Opening Day
Enjoy a picnic in the park as Bellaire’s new Evelyn Park opens for Earth Day on Saturday. Bring a basket or pick up lunch from The Ivy & James, chef Jamie Zelko’s garden-inspired restaurant in the park The opening includes events for the whole family: culinary demonstrations, a mini farmer's market, beer and wine tastings, music, fitness classes, a treasure hunt, food trucks and kids' activities. Earth Day Bash at the Children’s Museum of Houston
Go green at the Children’s Museum’s Earth Day Bash. The museum will be organizing an array of activities such as tree sampling giveaways, a demonstration in water filtration and sustainable gardens and a poetry slam where guests can express their passion for the Earth in performance.
Party for the Planet
Head to the Houston Zoo for a fun and educational day. There will be activities, crafts, music and more.
2017 San Jacinto Day Festival and Battle Reenactment
Watch as participants reenact the Battle of San Jacinto. There will be lots of food, family activities and historical entertainment taking place around the Monument.
The Willow Waterhole 2017 MusicFEST
This Saturday and Sunday Willow Waterhole will be made into a happening concert venue, including seven student/school bands and 16 pro bands.
Earth Day on the Avenida
Show support for Earth Day this weekend at Discovery Green, which will be hosting its annual concert at the park. The performance will feature Squonk's Pneumatica, a music-powered inflatable kinetic 35’ tall sculpture. The staging and production will make heavy use of sound, air and steam promoting the importance of the environment.
