Bring a basket or pick up lunch from The Ivy & James, chef Jamie Zelko’s garden-inspired restaurant in the park The opening includes events for the whole family: culinary demonstrations, a mini farmer's market, beer and wine tastings, music, fitness classes, a treasure hunt, food trucks and kids' activities. Go green at the Children’s Museum’s Earth Day Bash. The museum will be organizing an array of activities such as tree sampling giveaways, a demonstration in water filtration and sustainable gardens and a poetry slam where guests can express their passion for the Earth in performance.
Show support for Earth Day this weekend at Discovery Green, which will be hosting its annual concert at the park. The performance will feature Squonk's Pneumatica, a music-powered inflatable kinetic 35’ tall sculpture. The staging and production will make heavy use of sound, air and steam promoting the importance of the environment.
