Player of the year

Trey Duffield (pictured), 13, traveled to Las Vegas to play for Team Texas powered by Under Armour and was named Player of the Year. The Spring Branch Middle School seventh grader also plays 13U premier baseball with Mizuno Baseball USA, coached by Mark Klein. Trey’s primary position is pitcher, but he also loves to play catcher, and you will sometimes find him playing first base. His love of baseball began with Little League when he was 6 years old, and he advanced to select baseball at age 11. In addition to team practices, Trey takes private weekly hitting and pitching lessons, and gets plenty of use from the batting cage in his backyard. One day, he hopes to play college baseball.
