Bellaire head volleyball coach and athletic director Coach Ap Clarke was given a special award of HISD coach of the year. She has been named coach of the year at Bellaire High School for 15 years of the 17 years that she has worked at BHS. Coach Ap Clarke was also named “Woman of the Year” in HISD for Athletics. Prior to teaching at Bellaire, she coached at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Clarke is pictured, receiving her award from HISD’s director of athletics, Marmion Dambrino.
