Kicking cancer down
Guests attended the fourth annual gala for non-profit Ovarcome, an ovarian-cancer foundation. The event was held at Hotel Sorella and was themed Ovar the Moon: License to Teal. Ovarcome was founded by Runis Sen in 2012, in memory of her mother. Survivors, caregivers, physicians, patients, friends and champions came together for the event. In attendance were members of the Ovarcome Governing and Advisory Board: founder Runsi Sen, Dr. Priya Bhosale, Mike Beck, Rob Heifner, Juuhi Ahuja, Dr. Aparna Kamat, Betty White, Dr. Anil Sood, Andrew Taktajian, Juuhi Ahuja, and Dr. Binata Mukherjee. Speaking was guest of honor Shannon Miller, seven-time Olympic gold-medal gymnast and ovarian-cancer survivor.
