Renee and David Cummins, who lived in South Korea for five years, have returned to their home. A shock they had was how the Koreans they met love Spam! It is expensive, and they couldn’t get enough of it, they said. The Cummins couple lived in the Trump Tower Penthouse in Seoul with a balcony big enough for 150 people and a luxury item they said most Korean apartments don’t have – an oven. Their front-entry shoe closet was the size of a dorm room, Renee said. Another surprise: Costco delivers! Renee made good friends, including the students learning English from her. They missed the cultural diversity of Houston when they lived in Korean because – guess what – everyone was Korean!
