Happy Birthday, Mrs. Bush

Family members gathered to celebrate former First Lady Barbara Bush’s 92nd birthday at Walker’s Point in Maine. Neil and Maria Bush, co-chairs of the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, invited anyone else to join them in wishing Mrs. Bush a happy birthday by sponsoring a $30 “home library” for a child in need. Through the program, children create a wish list of six books they want to read and keep for their own home library. Mrs. Bush’s focus throughout her public life has been family literacy.
