Musical time in New York

After audio auditions, Ginger and Evan Howell were accepted and sang Durufle’s Requiem in the Carnegie Hall Masterworks Festival Chorus summer series. At the last minute the director had emergency surgery, but Alan Raines from Dallas stepped in. The chorus was 125 voices strong, accompanied by an orchestra and organ played by Michael Hey. The nights were filled with a fun after party at Planet Hollywood in Times Square, a rehearsal of Wicked and War Paint, Houstonian Jeannine Rowden’s Off Broadway musical revue Endurance at Temple Theatre and dinner at Lady Gaga's parents’ little Italian restaurant, Joanne Trattoria. Evan celebrated Father’s Day in the NY Running of the Balls to help fight the most common cancer in young men. Whew!
