Fall call

The Houston Junior Forum celebrated the membership and volunteers at the Birds of a Feather Flock Together Luncheon at the Briar Club. President Karen Hardin welcomed the 175 members. The fashion show, with Caruggi’s stylish clothes, was a hit, led by moderator Karen Darnell and chair Frances Carr. The eight forum models, Lynda Gilbreath, Mary Cooper, Joyce Pelton, Jamie Barrere, Debbie Berner, Melinda Gordon, Pat Martin and Yours Truly, swagged  down the runway to hip music, adorned with Franco Davalos jewels. Provisional member Cathy Oliver was pronounced Volunteer of the Year. The great reveal of past president Kim Vidor’s beaded presidential skirt was made. There were 38 women who worked on it, headed by Sherri Cooley.
