Jake McCabe, Nick Balbin, William Stone, Bryce Cox, Lyle Derden, and Will Moore Jones
The Lamar High School boys cross country team competed at the Houston Christian Invitational. Teammates, including (pictured, from left) Jake McCabe, Nick Balbin, William Stone, Bryce Cox, Lyle Derden and Will Moore Jones, had a great fall season under the leadership of coach Jerry Martinez. After earning top scores at fall meets, the boys teams swept the district championships on Oct. 10 with first places in varsity, junior varsity and freshman divisions. All seven varsity members finished in the top 12 overall at the meet. Derden and Camilo Meisel placed first and second overall, respectively.
