Fire Truck Park fundraiser

Brothers Charlie and Tripp Somers (pictured, from left) showed off their goodie bags at the annual Southside Place Winter Carnival. The pair were busy with all of the carnival games, especially toss the wreath onto the North Pole. They had a snowball fight with their friends in the giant pile of snow, rode a mechanical bull, made ornaments and enjoyed Pink’s Pizza for lunch. Other highlights included climbing the rock wall and photos with Santa. The event pulled in a total of $15,000 for Fire Truck Park. Organizers Georgina Armstrong, Allyson Haas, and Charlie and Tripp’s mom, Marilyn Somers, spent months planning the successful event.
