Fun-raising
The West University Softball Association annual fundraising “Hit-a-thon” will return on March 3. This past fall was the inaugural event and helped raise money for the Rose Foundation, which provides healthcare for more than 40,000 women a year. Funds also supported the Memorial Hermann TIRR Adaptive Sports program. This year, the girls will be swinging their bats for Cystic Fibrosis, the Gulf Coast Chapter and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Houston. The fun continues in March with the annual Adult Social and Auction taking place on March 23 at the Armadillo Palace featuring the band Skyrocket. Some of the top Hit-a-thon participants were Emily Jackson, Bella Martinez, Avery Fisher, Audrey Rullman and Lydia Tolbert. See wusa.org.
