A Sahara Desert trek with Kylie Weidner (in pink) and father Jeff Weidner.
They traveled from the beaches of Essaouira to the High Atlas Mountains and the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Jeff, Paige and Kylie Weidner slept in a tented camp in the Sahara and shopped in Moroccan souks for treasures. They fed macaque monkeys on the road to Midelt and gazed at the height of storks’ nests. Paige appreciated the craftsmanship of the leather, carpets, mosaics and pottery and said they felt safe everywhere.
