Event Roundup: What to Look Forward To This Weekend

Summer is in full swing! With the past few weekends being gloomy due to rain and clouds, this weekend’s forecast looks nice, so grab the family and head out to some of the many events happening around Houston. Here are some of the events occurring around the city.
Evening Chill at the Houston Zoo
Bring the whole family to the Houston Zoo for this series of chill nights at the zoo. Families can enjoy the animals under the cool weather, and stay for music, fun activities, and entertainment for all. On Friday night, the zoo will be screening Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and The Princess Bride will be shown on Saturday night.
Head on down to Galveston on Saturday for this event that has been taking place for over 25 years. Guests can explore art galleries and exhibits throughout the island. This event helps to promote visual arts and supports the arts-based community.
Experience the sights and sounds made by composers, conductors, and performers as they come together for this summer festival this weekend. They will collaborate on new works, study music, and then perform 3-4 concerts for the Houston community.
Be immersed in the Marvel Universe this weekend and next and witness all the action live during their action-packed, live arena show at NRG Stadium. Watch as Spiderman, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Hulk, and more unite in a race against time to defeat Loki.

Head on down to Buffalo Bayou Water Works on Saturday for Houston’s Premier Beer Festival. This beer festival will feature over 100 beers from local and national breweries. The celebration will also include live music, food trucks and fun activities.
