Houston World Series of Dog Shows
This dog show, which takes place Friday-Sunday at NRG Center, features classic breed judging as well as other performance and contest events such as flyball, canine musical freestyle, grooming competitions, and obedience. Families can also get custom fitted clothing, collars, or leashes for their dogs.
Country legends Johnny Lee and Mickey Gilley, the stars of the 1980 film Urban Cowboy, will be joining forces to co-headline the “Urban Cowboy Reunion Tour” and will stop in Houston on Friday at The Stampede. Get your cowboy boots ready and read more about these icons here.
94.5 The Buzz’s Bud Light Roast
This musical festival takes place at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Saturday afternoon and will feature performances from AWOLNATION, Blue October, Theory of a Dead Man, and more.
This Saturday evening, join for a free family-friendly festival of film and arts at Discovery Green, featuring a screening of the Space short film series, CineSpace. There will be giveaways, performances, and activities for all. The event is produced by Houston Cinema Arts Society.
Come to the Contemporary Arts Houston Museum for this free event on Saturday afternoon, where you can spray chalk art or get a free customized poem from the Inprint Poetry Buskers.
