Prolific mystery writer Andy Greenwood spoofs his friends who know him well. The Country Club Murders involves the demise of several members of the fictional Pine Hollow Country Club. At a book-review pizza dinner for 60-plus at his and Tanya’s house, several of Andy’s friends in attendance – who are members of River Oaks Country Club and Houston Country Club – were curious if the literary foul play were based on friend or foe. Alive and well were Linda and Rod Proto, Colleen Holthouse, Sally and Bill Slick, Gail Serrell, Lorraine Abercrombie, Jan and Robert Ross, Chrissie and Mark Stamey, Jeannie Stein, James Madget and Martha Adger, Martin Kaplan, Cody and Jim Greenwood, and Leila and Pat Gilbert
