The Evelyn Rubenstein JCC of Houston is hosting its 46th Ann and Stephen Kaufman Jewish Book & Arts Festival, Nov. 3-13.  This year’s festival is chaired by (pictured, from left) John Dreyfus and Hilary Kamin. The festival offers opportunities to experience Jewish literary, culture and performing arts, including Oliver Lapin Family Day. Highlights include Nell Scovell speaking about her book, Just the Funny Parts: …And a Few Hard Truths About Sneaking into the Hollywood Boys’ Club, Ben Reiter (Astroball) and a live taping of Tablet Magazine's Unorthodox Podcast. Author Rachel Kadish will speak on The Weight of Ink. Book clubs are invited to read the book, which won the 2017 National Jewish Book Award.
