Happy Friday and Halloween weekend! Yes, Halloween is technically Wednesday but there are tons of fun Halloween happenings this weekend. Here are just a few events:
Scream on the Green
Discovery Green hosts its annual Halloween celebration on Friday evening, including a costume contest, screening of E.T., performances, music, prizes and more. Come dressed in your best costume and celebrate Halloween starting at 6 p.m.
Texas Children’s Hospital presents Coco for Family Movie Night
This month’s Family Movie Night at Levy Park is Coco, the popular 2017 animated film. Families are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes and bring blankets or park chairs to enjoy the movie Friday evening, starting at 7 p.m.
West U Halloween Dash 5K Race and Texas Children's Hospital Kids' Fun Run
Dash around the streets of West U on Saturday morning. There’s a 5K, chip-timed race plus a non-competitive, 1 mile kids' fun run. New this year, there’s also a stroller/dog division. Dress in costumes, as there are costume prizes for Best Female, Best Male, Best Couple and Best Child.
2nd Annual ARTumn Fest
Head to CityCentre for a fun festival experience on Saturday and Sunday. There will be live music, an array of artistic vendors and colorful backdrops to create Instagrammable moments.
Trolleywood Movie Series: Coco
If you can’t make the Family Movie Night on Friday, you’ll get a second opportunity to watch Coco outdoors this weekend. City of Bellaire Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department is screening Coco for the Trolleywood movie on Saturday at Bellaire Town Square. Before the movie, there will be a special costume contest for kids starting at 6:30 p.m.
Halloween Zoovie Night
This Saturday night, watch Hocus Pocus at the Zoo for “Zoovie Night” starting at 5 p.m.
