Opa! The Original Greek Festival is underway. Get a taste of Greek culture at this popular festival at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral all weekend. Enjoy authentic Greek food, folk dancing and music, cathedral tours, activities and more.
“Goodnight, Moon” at MoonGARDEN
Discovery Green is hosting a pajama party at moonGARDEN Friday, 7-9 p.m. Milk and cookies will be served, celebrity readers will share the beloved children’s classic and The Astrological Society will be on hand with telescopes for star-gazing. The moonGARDEN installation will be open through Oct. 7.
Komen Houston Race for the Cure
The 28th Annual Komen Houston Race for the Cure, raising funds for breast cancer treatment and education, takes place on Saturday with the race and post-race festivities in Sam Houston Park.
Dewberry Farm hosts its 17th annual Fall Festival every Saturday and Sunday through Nov. 11. They’ve got tons of family-friendly fall attractions including acres of cornfield maze, heaps of pumpkins, a climbing wall, great food, live entertainment, music and more.
Cheers to this annual festival, which includes margaritas, salsa dancing, food and music outdoors. This year’s festival will be held at Buffalo Bayou Park on Saturday afternoon and benefits the Twi-Light Twelve Foundation scholarship fund.
