Spring Branch ISD has its own “farm in the city” at 1905 Brittmoore Road. The property is home to the Spring Branch Future Farmers of America (SBFFA) program, part of the SBISD Guthrie Center. Students raise a variety of animals with the goal of competing in the 41st Annual SBFFA Livestock Show & Sale, Feb. 1-2 this year. On Fri., Dec. 7, the annual Santa’s Farm kicks off at 5 p.m. The free community event includes crafts, hot chocolate, face painting, snacks, hayrides and photos with Santa. Pictured (from left) enjoying last year’s Santa’s Farm are fifth graders and Junior FFA members Emily Valicek and Luca Pavlik. See springbranch.ffanow.org.
