On a high note

Horn Elementary School’s Cardinal Choir (pictured), led by music teacher Phillip Sammons, is in its second year. The choir is made up of 80 fourth and fifth graders, and they’ll perform their first program, titled “Voices Raised,” on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. at Horn. The program features music that has messages of hope and inspiration. The choir is looking forward to performing the national anthem at the Rice vs. University of Houston baseball game this spring.
