In order to reach more members, Tanglewood Garden Club has expanded its range of speakers. Mattress Mack Jim McIngvale spoke in September, and in November, weatherman Frank Billingsley told the intriguing story of finding his father, which was far more than a DNA test. The members were so fascinated they kept him way longer than expected with questions. Some of those who bought his book were Elva Akin and Lisa Riney, Jeanie Sweet, Barbara Forbes, Randi Casada, Michele Weathington, Jackie Wright and Kristi Breaux.
