New Year's Eve at CityCentre

Ring in the New Year on Mon., Dec. 31 at CityCentre. The excitement begins at 9:30 p.m. with live music in the plaza from five-piece variety dance band, A Sure Thing, followed by a countdown to midnight capped off with confetti and a 60-second rooftop fireworks show.

Plan your New Year’s celebrations with a little help from The Buzz. Happy New Year!

10 a.m.-3 p.m.: Rockin’ New Year’s Noon at the Children’s Museum
Kids don’t have to stay up till midnight to celebrate the new year! At the Children’s Museum of Houston’s Rockin’ New Year’s Noon, kids can celebrate with a parade and ball drop, a DJ dance party, a countdown till noon, live performances by a juggler, magician and more. 

10 a.m.- 5 p.m.: New Year’s Eve: Museum Open @ Museum of Fine Arts Houston 
Although MFAH is usually closed on Mondays, it will be open all day on New Year’s Eve. 

11 a.m.- 1 p.m.: Noon Year’s Eve @ CityCentre
If you want to celebrate the new year but don’t want to have to stay up until midnight, this is the event for you. Join Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus in ringing in the NOON year at CityCentre with a DJ, bubbles, face painting, balloon artists, caricatures, and a photo booth. 

11 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.: New Year’s Eve Family Celebration @ Downtown Aquarium
All day long on the 31st, the Houston Aquarium will have kid-friendly activities, including a balloon drop, a dance party and so much more. 

3 p.m.- 1 a.m.: New Year’s Eve @ Hotel Alessandra
Hotel Alessandra has multiple New Year’s Eve room packages. The dinner package includes a four-course dinner. In the Bardot lounge, expect an a la carte menu with sounds by DJ Matt Murdock starting at 7 p.m. At midnight, look forward to the balloon drop!

6 p.m.: Rockets vs. Memphis Grizzlies @ Toyota Center
Support your Houston Rockets as they face the Memphis Grizzlies on New Year’s Eve. There is sure to be a fun halftime show with cool New Year’s-themed performances. 

7 p.m.: New Year’s Eve Party with Josh Abbott Band @ White Oak Music Hall
With tickets starting at $25, a concert starring Josh Abbott Band is a cheap way to ring in the new year. If you’d like a bit more drama, opt for VIP tickets at $69, which includes a pre-show buffet, post-show roof deck party and champagne at midnight. Super VIP for $169 includes all that plus front-row balcony seating, a shirt, bag and champagne flute. Get your tickets now before they sell out. 

7:30 p.m.: The Ballroom at Bayou Place New Year’s Eve Charity Ball @ The Ballroom at Bayou Place
A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to charity. The VIP package includes dinner, an open bar, live music and dancing, a champagne toast, breakfast tacos, party favor and more at $225/person and $400/couple. Late Night Arrival, for only $99/person, still includes snacks, a champagne toast, breakfast tacos and party favors. Guests can select the non-profits they would like their money to go towards. The non-profits include: Crime Stoppers of Houston, Friends For Life, Project Row Houses, Ronald McDonald House Houston and Stages Theatre. Dress code is black tie optional; suit and tie cocktail attire. 

8 p.m.: BP NYE 2019 @ A.D. Players Theater
BP’s New Year celebration features The Zapp Band and Althea Rene, a jazz flutist, a DJ, drinks, food, party favors, a balloon drop, and a champagne toast. Formal attire is required. Get your tickets ahead of time. 

8 p.m.: New Year’s Comedy Jam. @ Smart Financial Centre
Smart Financial is hosting a comedy show featuring Cedric the Entertainer, DL Hughley, Arnez J, and Nephew Tommy. Tickets start at only $59. 

8 p.m.-1 a.m. New Year's Eve At The San Luis Hotel
Celebrate New Year's Eve on the Island with a four-course meal, bar, entertainment and champagne at The San Luis Hotel.  with a four course meal, generously hosted premium bar, live entertainment by Password Band and a Champagne toast with party favors at midnight. 

9 p.m.- 1 a.m.: NYE Bash @ All Houston Topgolf Locations
All three Houston-area Topgolf locations are ringing in the new year with live music, a celebration at midnight, and special menus. If you want a VIP experience, you can pay extra for access to a carving station and champagne! Make your reservation now. 

9 p.m.: Baroque Razzle-Dazzle @ Hobby Center for the Performing Arts
The Hobby Center is hosting violinist Adam Lamotte, who will be performing the music of the first and third of Brahms’ “Brandenburg” concertos in honor of the new year. 

9:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.: New Year’s Eve @ CityCentre
If you are near CityCentre and do want to stay up for the new year, join your neighbors at CityCentre for live music from five-piece variety dance band, A Sure Thing, and a fireworks show. 

10 p.m.: New Year’s Eve Family Celebration @ Kemah Boardwalk
All day long on the 31st, Kemah Boardwalk will be hosting a family-friendly NYE celebration. A fireworks show will start at 10 p.m.
