Thanks4Giving
Amazing Grace Charities’ annual Thanks4Giving event is usually an opportunity to thank donors and volunteers, but the focus shifted due to Hurricane Harvey. Since Harvey, AGC has supported more than 45 local families. Last year, the assistance included emergency funds, clothing, toiletries and furniture provided through AGC donors. At this year’s event, the goal was to help families turn their rebuilt houses back into homes. AGC Boutique/Amazing Grace Charities provided free holiday decorations for flooded families, including 10 pre-lit Christmas trees and 10 menorah sets. A week before Thanksgiving, AGC provided Thanksgiving turkeys to some flooded families. Pictured (from left) are June and Hannah Marks (peeking out from behind the tree), Deborah Gremillion, founder Maria Cummings, Sarah, Beth [last names withheld] and Jane Kao, and manager Matthew Pennington (behind the tree to the right).
