Four birthday clubs but six parties helped to celebrate one particular 80 year old. A birthday club that started 20 years ago with four gals and Terrie Straughan, a red-head who is proud to say her age, now has 17 members. One group that started 45 years ago is called the Barcelona group, but everyone is Italian – Terrie can’t explain that title. Terrie’s walking-group party that meets at Memorial City Mall celebrated her birthday at 7 a.m. with coffee and cake, with regulars Karen Bridges and Ray Menke. And the Window of Opportunity Foundation birthday group is just another opp to say, “And many more.”
