Florescence, one of the largest competitive flower shows, is presented by River Oaks Garden Club, The Garden Club of Houston and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. The 13th biennial event, April 16-17, showcases arrangements created for this year’s theme of “Time.” Florescence challenges designers to pull inspiration from the MFAH’s art collections. Other categories include horticulture, horticulture design, photography, botanical arts, needle arts and conservation. Pictured are chairs Meg Tapp (at left) and Carmen Knapp.
