Trailblazer scouts
Poet Harris, Zoe Jung and Bianca Sieler (pictured, from left) have achieved the Cub Scouts’ highest honor – the Arrow of Light award. The fifth graders from Trafton Academy then became members of one of the first all-girl Scouts BSA troops in Houston, Troop 12, sponsored by First Presbyterian Church. They picked “Trailblazing Cheetah Patrol” as their patrol name in Cub Scouts. Completing the requirements to earn the Arrow of Light takes a lot of work, time and determination. Here, they’re all holding pearls, a symbol of wisdom acquired through experience. Poet, Zoe and Bianca all hope to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout someday.
