Aphrodite
I’m Aphrodite. I look like my mother, Nefertiti, but I weigh more. Our person says it’s because I’ve never been hungry, homeless or had litters of kittens. Mother (who is in this picture with me) told me she had two starving babies when she found our person’s covered patio. Our person fed and loved her and her kittens. One was adopted; one disappeared. Mother stayed, and our person’s neighbor built a 3-foot stand on the patio for her heated cat house. Six months later, Mother jumped out of her house followed by me. Our person was surprised and ecstatic. Now, my house sits next to Mother’s. Our clipped left ears announce our immunizations and spaying. While I’m leery of being touched, Mother rubs against our person’s legs, enjoys back scratches, and takes treats from her fingers. We show our love by guarding the backyard, always coming when she calls, and killing the bugs that get into her house.
