The Memorial Markettes are performing their annual spring show, "Movie Marathon," on April 26-27.
While school activities are winding down and the academic year is ending, the Memorial Markettes are busy preparing for their annual spring show. This year, the theme is Movie Marathon and the dances are choreographed to the tunes of famous movies such as: The Greatest Showman, Descendants and Pirates of the Caribbean. The evening will be filled with lots of fun, high-energy dances showcasing the amazing Markettes as well as guest appearances by various other high school students and outside entertainment.
Markettes is a dance team that is active year-round. In the fall you can see them perform at varsity football games and watch them compete in the spring. This year, the Markettes were awarded overall grand champions at a national competition called Miss Drill Team Texas. The current officer line was awarded overall grand champions at The Crowd Pleasers Dance competition.
The Markettes are pulling out all the stops and are sure to please audiences of all ages at their spring show. Please encourage your friends and family to attend the show and support a local dance team.
