Golfers and classmates Cason Wakefield and Cormac Steranko (pictured, from left) participated in the 13th annual First Tee of Greater Houston National School Program Champions Challenge. The Wilchester Elementary fourth graders were among those chosen to represent the Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD). Approximately 400 fourth graders, representing 29 schools, competed at the golf event, and the team of SBISD students won first place. Along with competitors from around Houston, Cason and Cormac competed in individual and team events in putting, chipping, pitching and full swing.
