Memorial High and Texas A&M grad Stephanie Perkins wrote an award-winning, cozy mystery novel, Murder Once Removed, under her pen name, S.C. Perkins. (There’s another “Stephanie Perkins” author out there.) Stephanie won The Malice Domestic Best First Traditional Novel contest with this book.
