The St. Vincent de Paul School’s Destination Imagination Team followed up their first-place finish at regionals with a first-place finish at the state competition, advancing to global competition. The team is led by Michelle Asselin and Kris Williams and consists of fourth and fifth graders (pictured, from left) Lara Chemaly, Jack Guitreau, Domenica Sepe, Cassie Doyle, Lauren Rebello, Natalie Cenatiempo and Jiya Jose. This marks the sixth consecutive year that the team led by Asselin has made it to Globals. The team competes this year in the Medical Mystery – Scientific Challenge division. In addition to winning first place in the Medical Mystery category, the SVdP Team also placed first in the Instant Challenge portion of the state competition.
