Luke and Jack Magnus

Brothers Luke and Jack Magnus (pictured, from left) celebrate after finishing the Houston Texans Kids Triathlon. The 2-day event at NRG Stadium attracted more than 3,000 youth triathletes, and is the largest kids’ triathlon in the world. Jack, 13, competed in the senior category, for kids ages 11-15. After completing a 200-yard swim, 6-mile bike ride and 1-mile run, he finished fifth in his class. He is no stranger to the sport, as this was his 10th triathlon. Luke, 8,  tackled the junior category and finished 18th in his class with a 100-yard swim, 3-mile bike ride and ½-mile run. This was his third triathlon. Both boys are students at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School and swim, year round, at Weekley YMCA. Luke and Jack love the competition and look forward to more triathlons in the future.
